Joanna graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with her degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. She began working in orthopedics, home health, nursing homes, and in pediatrics in schools, outpatient, and in home early intervention. To Joanna, pediatrics was the clear winner (playing while working is so fun) and she has continued to pursue education and experience in pediatrics since that time. In 2013 she achieved certification as an Infant Massage Instructor and began teaching parents the many benefits of and how to massage their babies. Equipping parents with knowledge and skill in how to help their children grow is a great joy and led Joanna to the desire to grow in knowledge and understanding of how to assist mothers in caring well for themselves. Joanna then pursued education in obstetrics and pelvic health physical therapy and is excited to assist women and children in this specialized way as well as to continue infant massage instruction and general pediatric physical therapy. For fun she enjoys spending time with her husband, children and dog exploring national parks and hiking. She also enjoys reading by a campfire outdoors or by a fire in the fireplace in the wintertime.
